We are currently looking for a UI Designer to join our creative team. This is an ideal position for someone who is excited about the fundamentals of design, typography and web trends, and looking to grow their skills as a digital designer within an agency setting.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with our experienced team to produce quality design work for our clients. You will also be exposed to a variety of projects that will keep you intrigued and challenged. You’ll work closely with developers, project managers, copywriters and other designers. You’ll be responsible to deliver in line with time and budget restraints, and be able to confidently make — and defend — design decisions.
What You’ll Do
Lead the creation and production of design deliverables and outputs with a high level of quality and attention to detail
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in planning, conception and ideation
Participate in internal workshops and client presentations, and reviews
Support the QA process to make sure design and features are implemented as intended.
Seek opportunities to expand your skills and capabilities within the agency
What You’ll Bring
3+ years of relevant professional UI experience, agency experience is an asset
Strong understanding and passion for design principles, typography, web design standards and best practices.
A growing portfolio demonstrating design skills, thinking, and execution
Strong communication and facilitation skills. You’re comfortable championing user needs and providing design rationale, as well as presenting your own work and running in-person or remote sessions.
Initiative and great attention to detail
Proficiency in Figma, Sketch and Adobe CS and tools commonly used in modern web
Demonstrate design intent through motion comps or high-fidelity prototypes
Experience working and collaborating with design peers and multidisciplinary teams
Ability to work within PST time zone work hours
Degree or completion of relevant education in graphic design
UX Design knowledge and experience
Experience with motion design and video editing
Knowledge of accessibility best practices
Understanding of front-end web technologies
