Aidan Rowe is an Associate Professor in Design Studies and Chair of the Department of Art & Design at the University of Alberta. With a broad interest in the power and possibility for design to enact positive change in the world, he is active in design, research, teaching, and consulting work in areas that explore design pedagogy, design for health, and the application of design methods to fields outside of design. He has written broadly about the convergence of health and design and the opportunities design methods offer other disciplines with a specific focus on health. Recent pedagogic work explores the application of design methods and processes to public health and involves the development of curriculum for medicine and health students. He is the co-lead of the DesignxHealth Research Innovation Lab and Co-Editor of the DesCan Journal.
