As a passionate creative in the health sciences, I have staked a course in the growing fields of medical and health-based communications. For the last 8+ years, I have successfully worked with industry leads in biotechnology. Currently, I am employed as an Associate Creative Director with Maven. At Maven, I lead a design team and manage and maintain 2 external design teams. My goal as a designer and communication specialist is to elucidate the metaphors of science and healthcare to educate and communicate with mass audiences.
I hold a degree in Communication Design from the Ontario College of Art and Design University, where I majored in graphic design and minored in sustainability, sociology and illustration. Following my undergraduate degree, I completed a Master of Biomedical Communication from the University of Toronto. Through the Master's, I received design training to work with high-fidelity biomedical content. During my Master's, I completed anatomy and physiology courses, observed and illustrated surgeries, and collaborated with DNA nanorobotic engineers. My extensive design and life sciences education has allowed me to excel as a collaborator in the biotechnology sector.
