Get Behind Design 2025

Get behind design — and this year we’re honouring a voice that has shaped design in Canada and far beyond.

In addition to gladly accepting donations towards our current initiatives and scholarships, we’re also inviting our design community to come together in support of the Robert L. Peters Scholarship launching in Spring 2026; a fund dedicated to helping emerging designers pursue their education and contribute meaningfully to our profession.

Robert was known for his unwavering commitment to ethics, mentorship, and the power of design to create positive change. This scholarship reflects those ideals, and aims to support emerging designers who carry that same spirit forward.Your support will help us:

  • Establish the scholarship honouring Robert’s legacy of leadership, mentorship, and advocacy in design
  • Build a sustainable seed fund to continue offering this opportunity to emerging designers year after year

In Robert’s own work and vision, design was never just a profession, it was a responsibility. By contributing to this initiative, or any of our current initiatives and scholarships, you’re helping nurture the next generation of designers who will create thoughtfully, lead with integrity, and give back to the community that supports them.

And this year, every donation automatically enters you into our raffle!

It’s a chance to win while supporting the next generation of designers. You can also support our ongoing efforts for:

  • Cheryl Lynn Rutledge Northern Indigenous Student Award
  • Marc Brisbourne Scholarship
  • Ray Hrynkow Scholarship, and
  • Tiit Telmet Design Scholarship

Let’s keep build something meaningful together.
