We’re expanding our team to include a Full Stack Senior WordPress Web Developer who can not only deliver custom, high-end websites but also bring innovative expertise, professionalism and problem-solving initiatives to every project.

All sites are custom developments with an emphasis on improved usability, accessibility, organic search and digital tactics.

This position also requires WordPress Maintenance for legacy websites and replying to website specific helpdesk tickets.

You should be able to contribute to development projects from ideation through execution and clearly document your experimental and technical problem-solving processes for internal reporting and compliance purposes.

Requirements:

  • 5–10 years of experience in WordPress and full-stack web development.
  • Expert in responsive website development using CSS media queries and mobile-first design principles.
  • Proficient in custom WordPress development, including templates, themes, custom post types, taxonomies, and fields (e.g., ACF).
  • Strong ability to debug, maintain, and extend websites using clean, scalable code.
  • Deep understanding of both front-end styling (semantic HTML, modular CSS, accessibility) and back-end functionality (custom queries, plugin logic, hooks, REST API).
  • Skilled in HTML5, CSS3, PHP, JavaScript (ES6+), and jQuery; experience with preprocessors like LESS or SASS is a plus.
  • Ability to build and customize functionality beyond plugin configuration, using custom code when needed.
  • Experienced with third-party API integrations and creating custom endpoints.
  • Knowledgeable about plugin architecture—can evaluate, extend, or override plugin behavior efficiently.
  • Applies UX/UI best practices to deliver intuitive, accessible, and well-performing experiences across devices.
  • Capable of scoping work with accurate estimates for hours and budgets.
  • Strong communication skills—clear in writing, confident in collaboration, and comfortable discussing solutions.
  • Familiar with Google Analytics (GA4); certification preferred.

Nice to Have:

  • Previous work on Government website projects.
  • Past involvement in SR&ED claims or writing technical narratives for them
  • Experience integrating ChatGPT or similar AI tools into web platforms
